Martian Architecture 19
Martian Architecture 19
The first thing one notices about Martian architecture is the lack of straight lines. Instead, Martian architects favor curves and organic shapes that flow together in a harmonious way. This is because the Martians believe that nature is the ultimate source of beauty and perfection, so they strive to emulate it in their buildings. Martian buildings are also very tall, often reaching dozens of stories into the sky. This is because the Mars has a much thinner atmosphere than Earth, so there is less resistance to tall structures. As a result, Martian skylines are truly breathtaking, with towering spires reaching up towards the pinkish-red sky. In addition to being beautiful, Martian architecture is also highly functional. The buildings are designed to make use of natural light and ventilation as much as possible, which helps to keep energy costs down. And since Mars has very little water, all buildings are equipped with state-of-the-art recycling systems that reuse greywater for irrigation and other purposes.
