The Martian was having a bad day. First, he woke up to find that his alarm clock had been smashed to bits by a rock thrown through his window. Then, he realized that he'd left his lucky gold coin on the surface of Mars when he'd gone inside for the winter. The coin was engraved with a cute little Martian and it always made him feel better when things were tough. Without his lucky charm, the poor Martian felt like everything was going wrong. He stumbled around all day, tripping over rocks and getting dust in his eyes. His spaceship wouldn't start when he tried to leave for home, and top it all off, he found out that chocolate chip cookies are actually made from real chips of Mars rock mixed into dough! The Martian was starting to lose hope until finally, at the end of a long day, he spotted his precious gold coin glinting in the setting sun. With relief flooding through him, he scooped it up and hugged it close as he smiled up to the moons. "There's nothing like my lucky charm to make me feel better!"
