Starbase 21

The Martian Starbase is the first permanent human settlement on Mars. It is a small, self-contained station that houses a crew of four astronauts who live and work there for six months at a time. The base has all the basic amenities needed for long-term habitation, including living quarters, a laboratory, a gymnasium, and greenhouses for growing food. The morning sun rises over the red planet, casting a warm glow over Starbase. The crew begins their day with exercise in the gymnasium followed by breakfast in the dining area. They then head to their respective work areas: one astronaut works in the lab conducting experiments; another maintains life support systems; and two others work on repairs and maintenance tasks around the station. In addition to their daily duties, each member of the crew also takes turns serving as commander of the base during their six-month stay. This person oversees all operations at Starbase and is responsible for contact with mission control back on Earth.
