Starbase Lab 31

The inside of the Martian Starbase science laboratory is a bright and clean room. The walls are lined with shelves holding various chemicals and equipment. In the center of the room, there are several large tables with scientists in white lab coats working on experiments. The atmosphere is one of intense concentration as the scientists work to uncover new secrets about our universe. Despite the high-tech equipment and expensive materials, the lab feels somehow homey. This may be due to the camaraderie between the scientists; they often help each other out when someone is struggling with an experiment or laughing together when something goes wrong. There is a sense that everyone here values cooperation over competition; after all, we're all trying to unlock mysteries for humanity's sake, not just our own personal gain. The light in the lab is luminous but not harsh, making it easy to work long hours without getting eyestrain (a common problem among astronomers). Even though we're looking at computer screens most of day, data printouts sometimes line up perfectly under certain angles of light from outside sources like nearby suns - another bonus for those marathon research sessions!
